Hi there -

I’m Brian, a copywriter who works to make complex ideas simple and accessible. My work has focused on web content, brand strategy, printed ads, social media, and content creation. These projects have spanned a wide range of industries, including technology, retail, entertainment, and the nonprofit sector.

In each project, I’ve had to tell complicated stories to an audience that’s on the go. This work has reshaped my view of what counts as “good writing”. Great writing, at its core, is about helping someone understand. It’s not about flowery language, impressive vocabulary, or proper punctuation: great writing is about getting to the point.

Some of these projects have been business focused. As Director of Admissions and Marketing at Calvary Chapel Bible College, ad campaigns were designed to tell the campus story and increase enrollment. Some projects have been creatively driven. As Editor-in-Chief with the GoodLion Podcast Network, I created content that worked to develop a brand voice that was consistent, engaging, and drove web traffic. Some projects have been about sharing the ideas of others. At Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, I took on many ghostwriting projects to help the Lead Pastor communicate with church congregants, service partners, and the community.
